Internal Link Analysis Tool

For best experience, we recommend using the tool on a desktop PC.

Tool Overview

Backlinks get all the attention — and sure, they matter — but your internal linking is just as important, especially if you want to build topical authority and help search engines fully understand your site. That’s where our Internal Link Analysis Tool comes in.

This tool allows you to map and explore the internal link structure of any website, offering both a bird’s eye view and granular detail — so you can spot content gaps, structural flaws, and missed opportunities for interlinking.

We have provided a bit of guidance below and a detailed guidance section within the tool sidebar to help you get the most out of the tool. If you are eage to jump right into using the tool, just scroll down.

What the Internal Link Analysis Tool Does

  • Crawl and map internal links from a given URL (entire site or a specific page)

  • Visualise the link network with an interactive, zoomable map

  • Highlight orphan pages, overlinked hubs, and disconnected content

  • Filter out clutter like navigation, footers, homepage links, or external URLs

  • Export a clean URL/link count table to CSV for deeper analysis

How to Use It

Using the tool is straightforward:

  1. Enter a website URL — this can be a homepage or any subpage.

  2. Set your crawl depth to define how far into the structure to go.

  3. Adjust connection limits to filter out pages with heavy interlinking (like menus).

  4. Clean up your network view by removing external and homepage links.

  5. Use exclusion filters to hide utility pages, login screens, or other non-content URLs.

Once the crawl completes, you’ll see a visual network map of your site’s link structure, along with a sortable table showing:

  • Inbound and outbound links per URL

  • Link path highlights. Click on the URLs in the table to highlight the corresponding nodes in the tool.

  • Search and filter capabilities for targeted analysis

This should give you a quick overview of how to use the Internal Link Analysis Tool. If you require more guidance, check out the guidance section in the tool's sidebar. Enjoy.
